The Beta We Hope You Never Use — in an Emergency
If your team is doing the self-guided tour thing with All Security Processes and Settings Up to Snuff then this newsletter will just contribute to your holiday glee.
If, however, your team is not 100 percent on the right self-showing security track? Well, we have no jolly way to put this. There’s a blizzard of self-show fraud out there — and it’s worse than any holiday grinch.
A Last Line of Defense Against Self-Showing Fraud
If your self-showing process needs it, wants it, or has to have it — ShowMojo can now direct each prospective renter to call your team directly when the prospect arrives at the home and before they receive an access code.
Ask each prospect whatever questions you like. When you are satisfied they’re the real Donner and Blitzen (and only when you are satisfied) ShowMojo will automatically distribute an individualized access code over the phone right while you are both on the call.
The Self-Showing Phone Call Verification Beta
Yes, sometimes our beta names stink worse than reindeer doodle. That, however, is not the topic to be discussed in this section. Rather, let’s answer the question: who should be interested in this beta?
- Any team that is currently being targeted by a self-showing fraudster and doesn’t want to implement all ShowMojo’s Recommended Best Practices.
- Any team that has implemented all those best practices and is still having fraud issues. In this case though, We Really Want to Hear From You because this should be exceedingly rare.
- Teams conducting self-showings that, for whatever reason, prefer to speak with the prospect before they enter the home.

What is this Beta Madness?
Last week ShowMojo announced the Two-Way Text Messaging Beta. And, in October, ShowMojo closed out two more betas (Modern Listing Galleries and Automated Identity Decisioning) in the span of seven days.
Didn’t you know? Betas arrive like buses in the iced rock bottom of a Chicago January. They travel in packs to keep warm. If you miss one pack, you better hope your footwear doesn’t freeze to the sidewalk waiting for the next.
