How Lead Transmission From Zillow and Zumper Used To Work
Before Zillow realized what a big deal ShowMojo is, we had to scrape their lead emails. Our robots pulled the important information — name, phone number, listing, etc. — from the emails Zillow and Zumper sent when a lead inquired about your listing.
This is the industry standard approach for extracting lead info from Zillow, Zumper, and any other syndication partner. And it was ours.
Then, whiz, bang, boom, ShowMojo responded, screened the prospect, and scheduled a showing (all that magic, of course, is not industry standard).
The problem with this approach is, email scraping robots are jamming text into the system as best they can. While our small army of people fixes the stuff that robots can’t interpret, this slows things down.
